Close your eyes and go.
If you’re still reading this, you’re not listening. That’s okay, I’ll explain.
You are probably sitting on an idea. I am. You might be wondering how to manifest it, maybe how to refine your idea, or just let people know about it.
What have you tried lately?
Are you reading blogs and white papers from experts on how to best solve your problem? Are you listening to podcasts, searching for that one thing you need to get a grip on that idea you have?
How are they working for you so far?
(Quick Note: I love blogs and podcasts and infographics and white papers and all that good stuff, these can all be helpful and interesting and informative and fun… however…)
Have you rolled up your sleeves, put pen to paper (nose to grindstone, shovel to dirt, hands to clay, etc.) and made physical movement on your idea?
If you’re at the point, that stuck-in-the-mud point, I know you’ve planned as much as possible, you’ve learned as much as you can, and you’ve researched everything you can get your eyeballs on. If you continue down this road, you’ll only spend all of your time and energy advancing your plan one more step.
Instead, close your eyes and take the leap.
You’ll quickly learn what was missing from the plan, and what actually worked. You’ll have real-world insight into your idea 1.0 and be ready to bring idea 2.0 into existence.
No matter how fast you are, any movement gets you a lot further than standing still.
If you find that my blog article hasn’t quite done enough for you, listen to this:
You may or may not like this song, but that’s not entirely the point.
While listening, write down 3-5 specific goals to make moves on your idea. When the song is over, get started. When you finish those goals, rinse and repeat.
