On Monday, John Jones and Carolyn Schmidt trekked over to WATC to make friends and build bridges with the Instructional Technologies and Academic Support office at WATC. Both schools deal with some of the same technical issues including Blackboard training, and we are looking at ways to work together so we can be more efficient. Have a look at the cool things we got to see while we were on the campus of WATC.
Instructional Design and Technology (IDT) is now offering a new feature, “Ask IDT.” Using our handy online form, you can ask us an anonymous question about any aspect of online classes, technology-assisted teaching, flipping, or any other thing you think we might be able to help you with, and we will write a blog post in response.
Spring break has ended and with it comes the realization that the semester will quickly be drawing to a close. While some may be looking towards the summer like a long-lost haven of peace and tranquility, a place with no assignments needing to be graded and no seemingly endless line of course related stressors; others may be looking towards the summer and are beginning to feel the first tendrils of panic and/or procrastination.
This week, I wanted to take some time to introduce one of Wichita State’s online faculty members that operates outside of our Instructional Design and Technology department. So, without further ado, please take the time to get to know Carrie Dickison! One of the newest additions to the English department, Carrie came to WSU in August
