During the next few weeks professors of fully online courses will continue to receive letters outlining recommendations from the Spring, 2016 online course audit. We have had some questions about the audit process, so I thought it was a good idea to outline exactly what happens when your course is audited using the Friendly Audit process.

I’m happy to announce that we have managed to meet all the challenges, and we are now able to offer a university-wide course template for Blackboard courses. This template will be useful for anyone teaching a fully online, hybrid, or flipped course, and it can also be used or modified for face-to-face courses that have a Blackboard component. You can modify the template as you see fit, and it is designed to fit together with our updated menu items in the basic Blackboard course instance that you see when you first enter a new course shell.
It’s no secret this office is a fan of food. Our team makes it, analyzes it, discusses it, judges it, writes about it, lives it, loves it, etc. So when the Food Truck Plaza opened at 11am today, just a few steps away from where we work, you can bet we were there.
Over the course of next several months, IDT will be bringing the WSU community a lot of information about accessibility. Accessibility is just as important in our online campus as it is on the physical one, and because so much of what we do online has something to do with instruction, it might be even more critical.
In an effort to eliminate unused space and streamline the Blackboard experience for Wichita State users, IDT has made a few changes to Blackboard coming in Fall 2016. These changes have been made only to the left-hand navigation bar.
The LMS Review Committee met for the second time on May 12 (yesterday, as I write this post) and continued to develop our plan for the review of the Learning Management Systems we will review.
